Nigeria’s president, Muhamadu Buhari said he was proud of all the athletes flying the Nigerian flag in the ongoing Olympics in Brazil.
The President said this in a tweet while commending the dream team VI after their 2 – 0 victory over Denmark.
She also hailed the Nigerian rower, Chierika Ukogu who sourced for funds to sponsor herself to Rio Olympics on Gofund.me for making it to the final.
Chierika however did not finish with a medal, but will be proud to go as far as the finals in the Olympics.
