When visiting Argentina last week, American president Barack Obama, said that his daughters wanted to meet Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. However, with Messi in Chile ahead of a World Cup Qualifier, Obama’s daughters Malia and Sasha couldn’t make the trip to see him.
As you can imagine, the two girls were probably upset and disappointed they didn’t get to meet the brilliant Lionel Messi. However, with Messi being Messi, he thought he’d go out of his way to send the girls a signed shirt, with their names on the back.
It now remains to be seen whether Barack Obama and Lionel Messi will meet up this summer during the Copa America, but the Argentine is now certainly in the President’s good books anyhow.
