Dr. Christopher Ikechukwu Odezulu was recognized on Monday May 13,2019 by Rice University as the first African and the third black to get a PhD from the prestigious Geology department, Rice University. Houston Texas. He was also the first to combine the professional masters/executive masters with a PhD. He was a lecturer at the geology department, University of Nigeria, Nsukka before via IFTTT
